30 days in Thailand / Visa run?

March 18, 2010 - Posted in kuala lumpur vacation

<< Commonwealth Game 2010- an Event That Would Make History!  I have been offered a Job as "HR Manager" in Petronas Oil, Malaysia by Zenith Oil-Gas Company? Please suggest? >>

Going to Thailand in a couple weeks for vacation. I am staying more than 30 days. I am flying to Kuala Lumpur for a couple days in the middle of my trip. When I come back to Thailand do I get a fresh 30 day stay or only 15 more days? I have heard conflicting info. I would appreciate if someone could clear it up for me. Thanks!HCpackedHotelDealsBanner468x60 30 days in Thailand / Visa run?

If you are from a country where you are visa exempt, you will get 30 days if you arrive by AIR and 15 days if you arrival at one of the border enter points. So if you fly from KL to BKK you will get another 30 days if you enter at one of the border crossing you will get 15 days. Very simple.

  3. Bob is correct. Entering by air – 30 days free, entering by land – 15 days free. What a pain in the ass they had to change it to only 15 days. What were they thinking?

  4. On a visa exempt stamp you will get thirty days if you fly in but only 15 if you travel overland. You won’t have any problems.
