The answer above is dead wrong, they still have their six rolls- royce power A380's on order, scheduled to be delivered 2nd or 3rd quarter of next year.

While Malaysian might not yet have cancelled its A380 order, there are ongoing delays to the carrier’s delivery schedule (indeed, parts for what should have been Malaysian’s first A380 are reported to have been used instead for Singapore International’s 10th aircraft). Airbus does not know how many A380s it will deliver this year (so far, the total delivered is actually zero), so anything is possible. Outright cancellation is however at this stage unlikely, due to manufacturer pressure, so further deferral is a more likely scenario — as Thai International announced yesterday for its fleet of six A380s.

malaysia airlines are selling their a380 and instead they are buying 5 boeing 777-300ERs
