Cost of food/transportation in Malaysia & Singapore?

<< MOR Vacations -- Is Travel Dead? Asia Travel Ad 2007: Malaysia Hong Kong Singapore >>Hello,
I'm planning on traveling to Malaysia & Singapore on vacation and wanted to know the price range for food and taxis.
On average, how much would a full meal at a restaurant, and fast food at a mall each cost?
Also roughly how much would going by a taxi cost per day if I went to different attractions in the same city?
In Malaysia
Food:-
Normal food per meal RM 5-10
Restaurant RM 10-20
High End Restaurant RM 25-80.
all is per person price.
Taxi:- Boarding RM 5 every 1 KM, RM 1. it is depending how far you travel per day

from KL we took a airplane to Johor Bahru Airport, and from there we took a bus to Singapore. You will save money, but … of course is a great diference of time, because we had a lot of traffic, so we spend a lot of time at the Bus BUT… the bus travel from Johor airport to Singapore is beaufiful… I think is a good idea to take this bus… BUT … the left us very far from every place… so we had to take a taxi to the center ( and at the moment we didn't had S$. Bus fare RM 16.
If you want to go to Melaka you can take the Singapore Express. In october of 2003 it cost me $11.00. Bus airconditioned. The bus will make 3 stops. 2 Stops at the border and one of them at a Bar where you can buy, eat and go to the toilet. At the bus station a man will come to you for ask you if you want to change money. I founded the change correct. There I get my first MYR.
Buses to and from Kuala Lumpur are quite nice, some even have beverage service and movies on board! Not to metion you get to see the country side! 1-way 23 SGD to 45 SGD round trip verse $114 SGD 1-way flying. 2 different people talked me out of flying and into a bus, as flying costs 4-5 x's as much, takes just as long with all the pre-board waiting and you don't get to see the country. Coaches depart frequently thruout the day and night. The trip is about 5 hours including 2 stops at immigration (SIN & Malaysia) and one 20-30 min. stop at a rest depot (food court and restrooms). Golden Mile Complex is where to go to find a bus in Singapore – when I went I wanted one departing that day and seat availability was limited….. so no movies or beverage service for me, but it was still comfy and nice

Singapore
When yuo get into a taxi in Singapore the cost starts from S$2.40 and adds on 10cents after a short period … it will keep on adding until you reach ur destination
Fastfood meals – they're pretty cheap for e.g. mc donalds meal cost abt S$5++ it's all less than S$10 if ur buying a meal for urself.

Food at the restaurants can be as expensive as your home country. Things you buy from supermarkets etc are comparitvely cheaper than here. I bought some chocolate malteser type things from Malaysia called Ding Dangs, they were really nice and they had a little stamp with them too. I wish we had them here too

1. a full meal in a restaurant in Malaysia (depending what type of restaurant you go in)…if a normal range would be around….rm50-rm100? And for fast food at a mall…if you are ordering like a set…maybe less than rm10-00.
2. taxi in Malaysia…usually going here and there if near to each other…would be like rm5-00 to rm 6-00…but best watch out as sometimes they (taxi drivers) could cheat you especially if you are a foreignor.
