I am from Malaysia so I vote Malaysia! It seems like island is your choice so allow me to suggest Langkawi Island, instead of Penang. You can take a ferry to Langkawi from Penang. I am not sure how long is the ferry ride though. Do visit Penang for the local food.

entirely depends what your after? if its beaches and relaxation, i’d rule out hong kong and to be fair penang only really has batu ferengi beach (sorry that WILL be spelt wrong!) havent been to borocay but its meant to be really lovely!! phuket is quiet touristy and can be a bit loud and busy, the asian costa del sol!! you’ll have to rely on someone else fr bali never ventured that far south!

my vote would be borocay, but i’m now very jealous!! ;o)

When are u planning to go?
If april-may, DONT go to boracay. it gets too crowded. havent been to phuket, bali and penang but i havent heard anything bad about them. i would definitely go for hongkong if u love to walk around && shop.

For this question, you have tell us what are your interest and what type of trip you want to look out for. But for me, my advice is go to Hong Kong as its easy to navigate, not much language barrier, more attractions to see and visit, more place for you to shop for necessities and the better communication service available inside and to elsewhere etc. But if you are into beach or towards a relaxing island life, as its looks to me, that Hong Kong is not for you. You should head to Phuket, Thailand or Penang, Malaysia instead.

Depends what you want to do!!
Hong kong great for cheap shopping and seafood. Phuket beautiful and cheap food and sex. Bali cheap and fun. Malaysia good for "adventure" stuff. Remember Bali bombings, Phuket tsunami. Haven’t been to Philippines.
All are very humid!!

My vote is for Boracay! I’ve only seen pictures and videos of it, but it looks so beautiful there!

Most Filipinos understand and speak English. I believe it’s pretty inexpensive there, esp. when compared to US vacation spots.

I havent been to Thailand, Malaysia and Boracay.. but i would love to go there someday…

I’ve heard that Boracay was the Island of paradise or something… it was even aired on Channel 24 in Canada and they even shot a korean drama and music video there too xP hehee.. and i’ve seen videos… -gushes- its so lovely! So if you wanna go to white sandy beaches.. go to Boracay XD.. (And English is widely spoken the Philippines… it’s basically the second language there… so communication is not a problem!)

Which i will mostly likely go there near in the future

I suggest if you wanna go for holiday to Indonesia please go to Java Island because more Heritage than Bali and in Java Island many things for see.
